It is with enormous regret that we must announce the death of Godfrey Blaynee on 4th June 2009. Godfrey, affectionately known as Old Git, was a key member of our team, helping to build, develop and operate the sledge and driving his own tractor puller; Major Cock Up. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and the Peak Vale Team would like to pass on their heartfealt condolences to his wife Joyce and the Blaynee family. A message from Joyce... Thank you seems such an inadequate word for all the help and support I have received from everyone, especially the Tractor Pulling Teams, during this traumatic time but I thank you all, everyone one of you, most unconditionally for everything. Alan, Richard, Kate, Matt, Bill, Gemma, Rachael, Steve, Dave Oven, Phil & Dave Maine, Squirrel and especially Gaffa, Lisa, Neil & Sarah, Paul, Bob and Andrew Davis who, without your support and help, I could not have managed the show, but was so proud that it went so well, Joyce
Peak Vale Tractor Pulling Sledge is owned by Neil Green and Matt Joplin. Alan and Richard (Neil's brothers) are also part of the Peak Vale team.

The sledge is also available for non-competitive pulling demonstrations.
Our sledge was built during the cold winter months of 2006-2007. The sledge's first outing was to Wollaton Park, Nottingham during the May bank holiday in 2007. This was the first of several outings during last season. The sledge was modified after each outing to improve its performance and reliability.
